Yemassee, SC June 15th – June 27th

Well, our website crashed and on we go and create a new one. With all the rain we had and still in the forecast I will not be bored.

We have moved again and are currently in Yemassee, SC. The area is called Low Country and the name is well deserved since it is as flat as it can be and maybe a foot or two above sea level. The campground is very muddy where there is no gravel. That being said we enjoy our stay. We visited Hilton Head Island and had a nice stroll at the beach, spent a day in Savannah and indulged in the history of that town, visited Charleston and enjoyed the historic buildings and Ft. Moultrie and also visited the Old Sheldon Church Ruins near Yemassee. This morning we rode our bicycles to the John Edward Frampton House which was built in 1868. It houses a small Museum and also a Visitor Center.
