2/2/25 – 2/9/25 Back at Colorado River Campground. This time we got a site in section A next to the Bathhouse (thanks heaven). During the week we went to the IKEA in Katy looking for a new sleeper couch, however, nothing there that would fit. One day I replaced the electric motor of the rear AC since it made a loud screeching noise when running. I had the motor with us since September, but…. was never in the mood to attack this issue. After a couple of hours ripping the old motor out and install the new one, the AC is now very quiet. Success. Now to the “thanks heaven” for being next to the Bathhouse. You fix something, something else breaks… This time our toilet decided to not flush any more. I found the parts on AMAZON and ordered, but it would take until Sunday to arrive. So, for two days and nights we had to use the bathhouse. Days was no issue, but nights was a pain. Get out of bed, get some pants on, out into the dark, walk to the bathhouse, do your business, back to Schnitzel, undress, back to bed. Yes, we are spoiled…..
Sunday we packed up and drove the 125 miles to TT Lake Conroe (a new one for us).
2/9/25 – 3/1/25 After arriving and setting up, off to the office I went to get the parts for the Toilet. Maria made lunch and after lunch we met with Junior and Pam who we met last year at Colorado River and Medina Lake. We had a good time catching up. Back at Schnitzel I replaced the broken parts and got the flushing going again. Thanks heaven!!!
Yesterday we explored the campground with all the amenities available, did laundry, Maria baked some cake and Bagels. Other than that we did nothing special. Today, Tuesday, the weather is not conducive for any outside activities. It is pretty cool and rainy.
