Trip to Katy near Houston, TX

01/17/25 – Yesterday we went to Katy, about 50 Miles east of Columbus. Here we visited the Katy Heritage Museum. It has lots of displays about the local Rice farming, old farm tractors, farming implements, kitchen and other house equipment, Telephone equipment and a nice display of all the Majors of the city. They also have some old houses in a park setting that had some impact on the city. Time and money (free) well spent. Next was finding a place for Lunch. We stopped at Feast Buffet and indulged in Chinese, Mexican and Japanese cuisine. Highly recommend. After this, Maria went to Hobby Lobby and I went to get SuziQ’s oil changed.  Back at the campground we did laundry.

This morning we had a gorgeous sunrise. The weather is tolerable this week, but Sunday morning is suppose to be near freezing and next week we will have some brutally cold days (mid teens at night) for TX according to the forecast. Not looking forward….

Until next update,

Maria & Bernhard
