Sugar Lake RV Park is located outside a small town called Travelers Rest which is close to Greenville. It is very quiet here even during the day. Saturday we hung out at the campsite and did some laundry and other necessary tasks. We also met Brooks, the Manager, and paid our fee. Sunday morning we went into town and walked part of the Swamp Rabbit Trail which is a Railroad track converted into a walking/biking trail. It is 22 miles long and was heavily used by both, bicyclists and pedestrians. Travelers Rest itself has some nice older houses and lots of Restaurants/Bars and other hangouts.
Sunday we went into Greenville and walked part of the Swamp Rabbit Trail along the Reedy River which was very pleasant. There are multiple nice shops, cafes and restaurants along the path.
07/06/2023 – We rode our E-bikes on the Swamp Rabbit Trail to Greenville today. What a nice trail. The trail is mostly lined by trees with breaks when going through the industrial areas and brings you to an area called Westside of Greenville. It was a total of 18 Miles.
