July 28 – We stayed at a Harvest Host location, Wildside Winery in Versailles, KY. Very nice place with some very good wine. Maria and I each had a flight of wine and shared a cheese plate. We met a fellow RVer and shared some of our stories. The winery closed down at 7PM and we went back to our house (Schnitzel). In the morning we prepared breakfast and broke camp to move to our next destination.
July 29 – We arrived at Country Boy Brewing, another Harvest Host location, where we enjoyed some beer and typical Bar food, Burger and Wrap. We both were glad that we only had to stumble a short distance to our house. After a quiet night we went out for breakfast. After breakfast we drove to Thousand Trails Indian Lakes RV Campground near Batesville, IN.
9/30 – 8/6 – Here we spent a week during which time we went to Cincinnati. There is a nice riverfront park next to the Ohio River we strolled along for an hour or so and then ventured into town to Findley Market . For lunch we went to a Thai restaurant and had some delicious Pho. For the rest of that day we just hung out at our campsite. On one of the other days we went hiking at Bradt Nature Preserve near Versailles, IN. On 8/6 we said “Good Bye” and drove a short distance to Brookville Mounds State Recreation Area at Brookville Lake. We checked in and as of Sunday late afternoon we are the only Campers in our loop. Looks like it will be a quiet Monday through Friday.
Until next time,
Maria and Bernhard
