Leavenworth, WA

We arrived at Thousand Trails Leavenworth RV Campground on Sunday afternoon. The Campground is about 18 miles outside of Leavenworth in a valley. It has State Park vibes since it is wooded and the sites are separated by a line of trees.  Nice and quiet, with FHU and nearly level sites.  Monday we drove to Wenatchee (35 miles) to do our grocery shopping. Wenatchee is the “Apple Capitol” of the World with Apple Orchards everywhere next to the Wenatchee River. Tuesday was a quiet day where we did laundry and some basic stuff at Schnitzel and the campsite. Wednesday we ventured into the town of Leavenworth. It is a “Bavarian Style” Town with a nice little downtown area. Houses are built as envisioned in Bavaria.  Overpriced German Restaurants (Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Sauerbraten) everywhere. A typical tourist town. Maria and I agreed that seeing it once is enough… Thursday Maria did some laundry and I did some maintenance at Schnitzel. Friday morning we went for a round of Miniature (Putt Putt) Golf which we both enjoyed. Tomorrow we want to drive to Wenatchee Lake and see if we can do some hiking in that area. Sunday is moving day.

Until next update
