2/1/2025 – Second week at TT Medina Lakes.
This week we ventured out and drove to Luckenbach, TX which is known as a venue for country music and for its German-Texan heritage. Well, it was disappointing. A couple of old log houses, some is a dilapidated state and totally “dead” during the week. Maybe during an event its charm shows, but in my not so humble opinion its a tourist trap….
Next we drove to Fredericksburg which has a lot of German Character and lots of history tied to the German immigrants in the mid to late 1800. Very touristy and we were not in the mood to explore the town that day. Maybe next time we are in the area we will spent some time exploring.
Thursday we went back to Boerne and walked the Cibolo River Trail. Nice short, about a mile, trail along the river. We had lunch at one of the plentiful restaurants, enjoyed some frozen Yogurt for desert and went back to the campground.
Yesterday was “maintenance day” for Schnitzel and SuziQ. Replaced the batteries in the Tire Pressure sensors, checked all the fluids and topped of the air in the tires. The rest of the day was R & R.
This morning we went for a nice walk in the campground, saw some deer and lots of birds. Tomorrow we have to pack up and leave. We will be heading east and go back to TT Colorado River for a week.
Until next update,
Maria and Bernhard
