Grundy County Lake Campground, Dike IA

On Monday, August 28th we packed up and drove to our next campground in Grundy County, IA. After setting up we explored the campground.

Tuesday we went to Waterloo and spent some time at the John Deere Museum which was very educational and impressive. We learned about the history of John Deere, when they bought Waterloo gas engine company and the German Lanz Tractor manufacturer. We went down memory lane of the progression of John Deere tractors including a short movie about the history  of John Deere.

Wednesday we drove to West Branch, IA and visited the Herbert Hoover presidential Library and Museum. Lots of interesting facts about the life of Hoover, his travels as a mining engineer before he was elected 31st President of the US. Afterwards it was late lunch and back to the campground.
