6/9 – 6/16/2024 – TT Verde Valley RV Resort. We arrived on Sunday and set up. After Lunch we did absolutely nothing!!!
This was a busy week with lots of explorations and diving into the history of this area. We visited Montezuma Well, Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot national Monuments. Montezuma Well is a spring which produces 1.5 million Gallon of water per day. The area has been home to prehistoric people dating back 11000 years. There are also some cliff dwellings dating back to around 1050.
Montezuma Castle is another national monument. The castle is a five story building and very well preserved.
Tuzigoot is a settlement on top of a hill next to creek/river. At one point in time it is believed that about 250 people lived here.
We visited Sedona and were in awe. What a location! Sedona is surrounded by mountains and has a lot of activities to offer. Lots of trails (too hot to hike in Summer) in the area and lots of great views.
Until next update,
Maria and Bernhard
