2/22/25 – Just a quick update. “Go South they said. It’s warmer there, they said.” Man, were they wrong… Last week, the weather took us on a ride to the cold side. Nights down to the low 20th, days not much above freezing. The water froze at the campground and did not thaw out for 3 days. Thank heaven we filled up our water tank before the cold hit. We were also positively surprised that we never lost power with all the usage of electricity for space heaters to keep the campers warm. One day we went to Conroe to visit the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County. Very interesting to learn about local history and culture. Friday we had Pam and Junior over for Wine, Bread and Cheese. Pam brought a very good bottle of wine, 2021 Caymus Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, very smooth. We all had a great time. Today it will be warming up, but Rain is in the forecast for this afternoon, so it will be a slow day for us.
