01/19/2025 – We started out at Colorado River Campground on a very windy morning and driving on I-10 was no fun. Schnitzel was rocking from side to side and it was sometimes a struggle to keep her in the lane during major gusts. Shortly after 2PM we arrived at TT Medina Lake in Lakehills, TX, got a nice site assigned and after setting up we did our usual on travel day, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The first couple of days were very cold and we stayed at home and enjoyed some good movies. Wednesday we drove to Boerne with the intention to explore the historic downtown area, however, the wind was blowing and it was too cold. We stopped at the Visitor Center, got some information, went for lunch at a small Mexican Restaurant then shopping at Walmart and back home. Thursday we met Ute and Gerd in Kerrville. Gerd and I worked for the same company in the 90th and it was nice to meet him and his wife again after more than 24 years. We spent some time catching up on what happened over the last 24 years, went for lunch and then back home.Today, Friday, we woke up to a cold morning, 24F, but it is warming up nicely. One more night at close to freezing temperature then back to more moderate (Tolerable) temps. Tomorrow, we plan to go back to Boerne and do some exploring.
Until next update,
Maria and Bernhard
