Welcome to our travel journal.

We were avid tent campers for a long time and in 2016 we “upgraded” to a small Travel Trailer since our ageing bodies told us that sleeping on the ground does not work any more. The Travel Trailer enabled us to travel during all seasons and we took full advantage. We had the trailer for a little over six years and towed it about 50,000 miles all over the USA. In 2022 we decided to go full time and sold our trailer and bought a 34ft Class A Winnebago Sightseer, lovingly named “Schnitzel”.  On March 30th, 2022 our new adventure as Full Timers began.
There’s something magical about the open road, and for us, that magic comes alive every time we set off in our motorhome. Our journey across the USA is more than just a trip; it’s an adventure filled with discovery, freedom, and unforgettable moments.
From the moment we packed our bags and rolled out of our driveway, the excitement was palpable. The motorhome, our cozy home on wheels, became our sanctuary and gateway to the vast and diverse landscapes of America. Each day brings a new destination, a new story, and a new experience.
We’ve watched the sunrise over Arches National Park, feeling the vastness of nature stretch endlessly before us. We’ve strolled through charming small towns, where locals greeted us with warm smiles and stories of their own.
Cooking meals in our small but adequate kitchen, sharing laughter around a campfire under a blanket of stars, and waking up to the sound of birds in national parks—these simple pleasures make every mile worthwhile. The motorhome gives us the freedom to explore at our own pace, to stop wherever our hearts desire, and to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the USA.
Traveling this way has taught us to appreciate the journey as much as the destination. It’s about the people we meet, the unexpected detours, and the quiet moments of reflection on the road. Our motorhome adventure is a story of freedom, connection, and the joy of discovering America one mile at a time.
